Samsung dishwasher in test

A Samsung dishwasher has not been able to score many points in any recent Stiftung Warentest dishwasher test. However, the Samsung DW60M9550US/EG was the test winner at ETM Testmagazin (issue 7/2019). The model was able to prevail against 8 other dishwashers and impressed above all with its simple intuitive operation, as well as the outstanding dishwashing performance with WaterWall technology. The many options that allow the individual wash programs to be perfectly adapted to the requirements of the dishes were praised. The very economical water consumption was also mentioned. In the end, the model scored “very good” (92.7%) and won the 2019 test.

About Samsung

Samsung was founded in March 1938 by Lee Byung-chull. At that time, it was still a grocery store. However, when World War II was over and Korea broke away from Japan’s colonial rule, the owner initially lost his business due to the chaos. He later built a new store in Seoul. Unfortunately, this was also destroyed during the Korean War. After the Korean War, he persevered and established a new business in Seoul, which proved to be successful.

In 2014, the then CEO Lee Kun-hees passed away. In September 2016, there was an extraordinary general meeting where Lee Jae-yong, Samsung’s vice president, was nominated as a board member. He is his only son.
